Hi there folks,
I have just got my new to me range rover today R reg, 4 litre LPG. There is a couple things I missed when looking at on the test drive which are the following.
1. Heater control screen has no display all though the heater works when you turn the knob. but nothing on the screen.

2. When locking with the key fob buttons the drivers door does not lock, but when you lock with the key it is fine.

Anybody got any ideas of a quick fix or will I have to visit a dealer?

Bearing in mind I do all my maintenance myself, but never had ranger before.

1 possible bulb failure in the heater control screen
2 could be the lock solenoid inoperative or rod came of , take the door card of and make observations to see if its working:)

door lock/actuator is probably faulty they can sometimes be stripped down and made to work again but easier just to replace to be honest i just done both my front doors i got them for £36.00 all in and quite a easy job just bit fidly hth

Well been out in the dark and it could possibly be a bulb failure in the heater screen as I could see the temperatures faintly on the screen when I had the lights on, but I have now found that only heat comes from the drivers side of the centre consol, on the passangers side is quite cold compared to the drivers side, anyone got any ideas on that one?

Each side has an individual temp setting so ..............

If yer can't see what the Temps are set at i.e. 28 Drivers side & 16 Passenger side either push the "UP" buttton on the passenger side 13 times ( this should push up the temp from 16 to "Hi" ( assumiong it is AT 16) or wait until you've fitted the new bulbs & then you'll see clearly what each side is set at
