Hi all,

I've found lots of topics on P38 headlights but they are all about swapping them.

I want my p38 to keep it's old skool look but the smashed O/S headlight from having a little too much fun in the snow needs replacing.

I've got a new one on order along with a new indicator but dont know where to start with the removal?

Any ideas?

Ant

Yeah that would be a good place to start... at the beginning.

Doe's the front grill need to come off? Any snagging points to consider before starting?

comes out really easy... unbolts with just a couple of bolts

Thanks thats what I wanted to hear ;)

My Mrs is telling me we have lots to do tomorrow and I needed to know how much time to devote to my other loved one... the P38!

I'm picking the parts up at 09:00 tomorrow so I might have it fixed by the time she gets up.

Front grill off gives a bit more room, battery cover off, disconnect cables from lamp, there are three or four small nuts and studs holding the unit in, Mine were well rusted but as your headlamp is knacked you can destroy it to get it out. Maybe remove battery for safety.

It's going ok but I can't work out how to deattach the headlight wiper and motor?

I've undone the nuts on the top and bottle of the wiper rotor that connects to the motor but it isn't for comming off?

I'm reluctant to use too much force and break the thing? I the nuts are undon should I just use a little force?
