P38 head unit thoughts

tis a strange one. I had the alpine HU, with (I think) the hi-line HK. May mines an older one (my DSP didn't work on sas1810s car - he tried!!). Mine's on a 2000 x plate autobiography.

Still, I managed to get some pretty nice speakers for £45 a pair from halfrauds, too cheap for what they were because they sound waay better than £45 worth, and they fitted straight into the HK base units in each door.

Marc, found what the problem was with mine. Sat nav drive was blocking the signal to dsp. Unplugged and working as it should. Might try a change in mine. Got a new unit I can borrow.

They are 'Vibe Slick 6' (or that's what it says on the box!)

Good stuff Dave - I haven't even taken mine back out of the box you sent it back in!!! Really need to get it, the HU, speakers, sub and Cd changer on fleabay - it'll go some way to paying for the new cam shaft etc I've got to start doing in a couple of week :)
 
Finally managed to get the non working pioneer cassete out of the 99 rangerover.
Luckily non of the wires appear to be chopped - seems to have two eight pin multi sockets one buff colour and one sort of blue that plugged in to the pioneer square connector - would anyone like to guess what system I should have - should it be an Alpine unit with HK speakers and multi amps...

If it had HK it will be badged somewhere, speaker grills or tweeter cover can't remember without looking. Mines an older one with the Clarion HU, I'm pretty sure after '98 it was Alpine.
 
I want a pop out unit with Bluetooth sat nav and iphone connectivity anyone have any recommendations ?
