P38 front side lights dead

Hi
Took the car in for a service and when I got it back front side lights were dead, changed bulbs still dead , rear ones working , any ideas??

I'd be asking the place that serviced it! Presumably everything worked before the service. Are they Land Rover specialists?

Did they wash the carpets and get the BECM wet? This could cause all manner of issues.

Had an MOT 2 days previously, passed no problems , so was definely working then
not aware of then washing / watering inside car

The lights are controlled by the BECM, if they steam cleaned the inside you can expect trouble. Otherwise if they disconnected the battery the BECM may have got confused. Take it back and complain.

he did disconnect the battery, is it just a case of resetting the becm or is it more involved ?

Becm problems are rarly simple go back to the garage tell them whatever they did ,they did it so should fix it

There are several different light configurations in the BECM, may just be a case of re-selecting the correct configuration. The garage should do it FOC as they caused the problem.
