Hello
I am new to this forum and although I checked the FAQ's I hope I am not repeating a question.
I have a P38 with a 30mm lean to the near side, it has been on the Testbook computer which says eveything is OK and calibrates correctly, there are no dashboard warnings, there isnt any leaks as the car will stay pumped up overnight, and the four height positions are are obtained quickly, but at each position the car leans to the left?
Any ideas?

How competent was the person who put it on Testbook? Not very by the sounds of it if they couldn't sort the problem out, or at least diagnose it.

Could be a number of things, but sounds like it either isn't calibrated properly (did they recalib?) or one [or more] of the height sensors is up the spout.

Hello MattThanks for the reply, after much head scratching and kicking of tyres, it would appear tht the problem is in the body mounting. The n/s body/chassis bracket is bent, effectively pulling the body down closer to the chassis. There does not seem to be any evidence of other physical damage, so we are at a loose end as to how the bracket could have become bent.As soon as I know more I will let you know, in the meantime thank you for your interest.Best regards
Mike

OK! That's an interesting one! Has it been used off-road do you know?

I'm not sure whether you should be glad or not that it isn't a problem with the EAS!

Hello Matt
Today we tried to adjust the body/chassis height and although we raised the mounting by 10mm it did absolutely nothing for the problem.

I checked the distance between the bump stops at all three heights, they were all correct, but measuring from the floor to the front wheel arch I have a difference of 30mm, no matter what I do to the body mount.

I don't know a lot about the history other than it is supposed to be a private lady owner, with full service history, I checked with the last LR dealer in the service book and he says everything was OK thats about 4k miles ago.

I strongly suspect a heavy collision at the front n/s as the axle is about 0.5" over to the right when in normal ride height. Doing a diagonal measurement from the side/centre of the four wheels revealed a 1" difference, its as if the track control rod is too short!

I wondered if Rovacom could alter the airbag settinsgs so that it stands straight, apparantly the old RR and the latest are set by measurement off the floor not blocks under the bump stops?

I will keep looking as I have noticed one or two RR's with a slight lean, perhaps the drivers haven't noticed?
Regards
Mike
