Oooohhhh.....not good. I'm guessing there should be proper splines on that shaft!

Maybe I could just weld a few beads on the shaft and then take a grinder and just make new splines
Oops .... that was the redneck shade tree mechanic comin out ....
That happened to me in 2013
I had a replacement transfer case and swaped it out after I figured it was the transfer case being the problem....
Then dismantled the bad one to find out what it was....it was the splined shaft..
So now I have gotten another spare waiting for ....
Whatever happens ...,
