Hi guys...

After all the issues I've been avaing with LPG - I've gone Derv.

I have a P38 DSE 97'' Auto. She has developed two faults at the same time so don't know if connected.

1) EAS fault. Stuck in High. Dash and lights showed fault whilst driving along. Fuse and relay are fine. No sign of leaks before this.

* I've downloaded the software and am ordering a cable to see what caused the fault then I'll know more on this. I'll update when I know more.

2) Metallic Squeak from front end. It at first sounded light a suspension chirp kind of noise, but after trying different things its funny;

* Connected to the application of the Throttle betwen 0 and about 45mph. Its not at idle only when moving. If you squeak and come off the accelerator.. it stops. Back on and it sounds up again.

* Not Directly connected to engine speed although It does get quicker with moving off but if you rev past 2K then engine speed overtakes the squeak if that makes sence.

* Not directly connected to road speed as if you back off the throttle the noise stops.

* Not brakes as a slight application of the brake peddle does not effect the noise.

ahh... wasn't expecting that. I was always running on the fact it was probably a pully or crank shaft pully... food for thought.

Is there an easy way to check if its the turbo bearing? if it is am I looking at a new turbo?

Update:

Engine oil toped up, Gearbox oil didn't need anything. If anything it's a little over filled already.

Local garage thinks its in the drive train somwhere... so next question is what in the drive train could give a squeak noice like a bird singing at 1 to 2k revs and upto about 40mph when under load?

Could anything be running dry?

Universal Joints? I had similar symptoms and the noises went away when they were replaced the whole take off and putting power down was a whole lot better, but mine were really fecked though.

UPDATE: FIXED!!!!!

Noise was a ver slack UJ. The air syspension was just a fault that was reset. The right and left side front where out by too much for the ECU.

Now just need to get a hot start fix and we're away.
