Been told these are now all 36 mm. Is this true? My old ones were 32mm!

Can still (just) get a 36 mm impact socket in.
Prefer to have a wheel on the ground if I ever have to undo it with my breaker bar.
Ok as you please.
Takes some serious grunt to shift that nut!
If I lift the wheel off the ground it'll turn when I apply force, won't it? Unless I stick it in gear? In which case won't all that force be going through the gearbox? Will it take it?
No the VC should lock with that amount of torque. How much torque does the transmission put through the wheels? Think it maybe a little more than 192 lb ft. When i did mine i undid it with wheel on ground but torqued it up with wheel off.
Around 450 in my Disco's little grey book iirc.a little more than 192 lb ft
This is exactly the sort of thing I hate!Fine, except on the wheels Ive got the 36mm socket wont fit through the centre hole so I couldn't torque up the nut with the car on the ground.
