p38 diesel hot start fitting question?

well my p38 starting giving out the hot start problem so i bought the hot start fix off ebay, ive fitted it but my question to anyone who has fitted it is with the red/white wire that comes off the relay by the ecu do you add the new wire to it or basically cut and attach the new wire, thus removing the use of the standard relay, any advice would help, if that makes sense!! also after fitting it and having the car run hot will the glow plug light come on as before fitting when it was hot the light wouldnt come on. Thanks.

No you do not cut the red/white wire, just connect new brown wire from box to it with clip connector. This wire supplies power to new box. Only wire you cut is the temp sensor wire and fit bullet connectors then attach to bullet connectors in new box. All this box does is trick ECU into thinking that engine is cold for a few seconds. The inbuilt timer then switches off. And yes your heater plugs will come on even with engine hot. Nearly forgot, Black to earth on any of the black
earth cables with a clip connector.
