P38 diesel automatic problem

When I put it into gear it judders pulls away ok and when I break I can fill some movement in the drive train may be in the box

Check fluid level and report back!

Ive checked the levels and are ok

How did you check level? Check prop shafts.

Ok so with car on level ground and gearbox cold you started engine moved through gears a few times, put in park then with engine still running removed level plug and oil was level with bottom of plug or a little dripped out. Did you check the propshafts. You will need to scotch a rear wheel front and back and lift one wheel off the floor, front to check front prop and rear to check rear prop, otherwise play will not be apparent as they are loaded.
