P38 central locking

Strange thing today, unlocked the car (so I thought) by the remote but only the back doors opened. (Interior lights came on too.) The front doors didn't open and neither did the tailgate as I found out. The driver's door did open off the key and this released the tailgate too. Even stranger, the sidelights flashed rather than the indicators. Any ideas?

Sounds as though the drivers door latch is failing, this also sends the unlock signal to the tailgate

Update. Fitted new driver's door actuator and noticed the front passenger's still wasn't working. Put a new one on that too. All the locks now work but the sidelights still flash rather than the indicators. I have re-set the key fob by disconnecting the battery and re-locking in the door and by the button yet still the same.

It's kind of got me now. I have it booked in for a plug in to the OBD next week unless anyone can give any more pointers. I suppose it could just be a stored fault needing cleared. It just seems unusual that a different load of lights now flash. All the lights work normally otherwise and there is nothing showing on the dash display. All the wires in the doors seem ok with nothing chaffed.
