OK, so my 2000 Vogue has always been missing the CD Cartridge in the boot and I've got hold of one. Fitted it and when I select 'CD' on the radio nothing happens (yes, there is a CD in slot 1!)... didn't hear any noise so assumed there was no power to the autochanger in the boot. Took the radio out and didn't look like any plugs were disconnected BUT there was another blue connector hanging loose. Tried plugging it in where there was an existing blue and green connector plugged into the radio and hey presto, the autochanger burst into life! This poses a few questions which I wonder if anyone can help with:

A) The radio worked before I replaced the blue with blue/green connector, so what does that connector actually do?

B) Not sure why the autochanger was disconnected behind the radio. Is it a common problem and something that often gets disconnected? (battery drain?).

The image below shows the back of the radio with the autochanger (blue) connector in place (1). The connector which I unplugged (2) is now disconnected.

Any info on what the blue/green connector is for would be useful, have I done the right thing disconnecting it?

Muchas gracias :)
