Hi. My P38 will sometimes brake violently for no reason!
It has done this twice at about 70 phone, if it's bumped off a kerb or when the wheels spin and the Traction Control cuts in. I'm baffled, does anyone know why this would be?

When one side wheel spins the traction control is supposed to kick in. But joking apart you need diag on it you have a problem. Traction should not be working at that sort of speed if it is that causing it. Bumping down off kerb maybe a clue wheel bearing moving banging against sensor and causing traction to think wheel is stopped when other one is moving. Get it looked at.

RAVE states:

The [traction control] system switches itself out at 100 km/h
(62.5 mph). A vehicle travelling above this speed will
not need ETC.

That's faster than I thought! I thought it wouldn't do anything after 35mph!

Could it be a wire cracked up on a sensor? Either way, I wouldn't be going anywhere with that happening!
