hi guys this'll be a quick one
ive been out today changeing discs and pads and found that the front n/s carrier slider pin has seazed solid.cant get it out even with heat
ive phoned a local parts suplers and he said he has a new carrier with pins for £30 but there marked up as for the discovery2, he said they should be the same as the ones on a p38! is this true?
i dont want to just buy it and see cos he dont give refunds, he only gives credit notes.

go to scrappy and have a look at a rover 75!! the fronts are the same as the p38. you will notice that its the same pin on each caliper that has seized!!

drill a hole big enough to get a punch in and drive it out that way then make a grub screw and tap the hole then plug the hole with said grub screw.

easy peasy!!

plenty of copper slip when you reassemble!!

(the ones i got from the rover 75 'fell' into my pocket!!)

went to get the disco one today and hes sold it typical:mad::mad:
anyway is there anyone in or around leeds that has a spare carrier bracket knocking about that might part with it for a few beer vouchers:beer2::beer2:
