P38 Air Con Drain

Had the same problem. Did searches and everyone said look on Rave. Haven't got that so tried myself. I couldn't see the outlets underneath by the gearbox, so went from the inside. Easy job. On passenger side, look for the triangular vent on the centre tunnel just by the bottom of the glovebox. Just forward of this is a gap that you can get your fingers in. Feel in here and you will find a small tube (about 1 cm diameter, black, concertina type) that pushes on the evaporator(?) and connects to a grommet on the bellhousing. Pull it off and clean with a pipe cleaner, air line or, like me a wire coathanger with a bit of cloth on the end. The drivers side is in a similar position. Someone else here said that this pipe is actually too long and gets kinked so think about cutting about 1 cm off. Same cleaning method. I ran the ac afterwards and could see loads of water coming out underneath the car.
Worked for me and don't have any wet footwells now.

on mine you could see the water dripping from the ac into the car from around the computer port thing for the eas when the ac was on. Also those pipes were wet around the top. If its ac water it will be clean and non smelly. Apparently other faults can be sunroof leaks or heater o rings (sticky and dirty?). Hope you get it sorted.

You need to check the covers on the bulkhead, bonnet side, over the pollen filters, they have foam gaskets to seal the water out and my ones were leaking badly, simple solution, apply a smaal bead of clear silicone and screw them back in place, 2 x phillips screws, good luck, JV ROVERMAN.

After some encouragement from this forum, I tried once more to find the elusive AC evaporator drain tube/nozzle/bladder from underneath the 2001 RR 4.6HSE (P38).

The drain nozzles, there are two on either side of engine/transmission junction, is black rubber about 1 inch in diameter and requires a 12 inch screw driver to reach it.

RR 2001 looking for AC drain: looking for the nozzle, it is way up in there.
