Hi. new member & new owner. Lots of things to ask about but to start I wonder if anyone has any second hand 3rd row seats? Need them for the kids when grandparents join us. I always seem to just miss things on ebay.

We looked at this when we first got ours. To do it properly is very expensive. If you have very young kids and plan on keeping long term maybe worth it. If not better off investing in a proper 7 seater. As your kids get older we've found we could get away with a 2 seater most of the time :)

howdy
if you handy enough with the tools you could look at getting disco seats and then some serious mods you might get it right, also spare wheel will need to go some where else,so extra expense for the rear tyre mount,
the main reason why you wont find 3rd row is that the designers of late were advised that if you whant a seven seater buy a discovery,,,and keep range rovers as a 5 seater.
cheers and good luck

Cheers.

I can get new ones at about £800 but I know there are 2nd hand ones out there. It's a bit like X-files.

Yours Moldy and skinner.

Hi.
I managed to get a set of cloth seats from a classic RR. They have a bar running along the back that was too long for a P38 but if you cut it down to size it fits behind the rear seat catches, you can still lock the rear seat and then fasten the frame of the 'dicky' seats to the floor. Lap belts (recommended for rear facing seats) can be added to the anchor points under the rear seats.

I hope this makes sense. So if you want a 7 seat P38 don't discount the extra seats from a classic.

Keep on bodging.

Please make sure you locate the belts properly. In a past life I suspect my P38 had rear seats as there are belts in the boot. They are bolted through the spare cover as one anchor point ...
