well here we go
i know this has been covered before but all the searching on this subject has not really drawn a conclusion as far as i can see

changed my battery for a new one and the keys wont resync as this model year its just a case of placing the key in the ignition and its done but she wont have it , even tried the proceedure for older model when you put the key in the door lock and press lock while turning etc tried it several times taking my time but no joy

i put new batteries in both key 1 and key 2 but still no good
connected faultmate and had a look everything looks ok
last time i had battery disconnected she wouldnt resync then all of a sudden it resynced after a day or so

dont know what else to try, unless someone has had the same issue and resolved it and posted it i dont know
both fobs worked before and the red light works on both

will check rf reciever tomoz and maybe change it i have a few here

should the red light on the fob flash once on placing it in the ignition switch as i seem to remember ? as its not ?

maybe a disconnection and reconnect of the battery might do something
this car has never had any ecu swaps of lock changes as i know the cars full history and previous owner so that should rule out any issues of such concerns
i see several others have had the same problem but no solution

Don't use the EKA if it's not immobilised.

Place one key in the drivers door lock & the other on the rear window that houses the RF antenna. Press & hold the lock button on the fob touching the glass & turn the key in the lock to the back of the vehicle for 3 to 4 seconds. Back to 12 position & release button.

The fact that you can unlock the car & start up with just the key tells you that the passive immobilser has been deactivated. With the passive immobilser deactivated means the fobs won't sync automatically.

Rick just tried your proceedure and unfortunately i didnt work , before the disconnection of the battery the fobs worked ok so i would guess the rf reciever should be ok ?
what if i go into becm settings and change imobiliser settings back to enable maybe it will work , i had disabled this a few years ago for some reason but the keys did resync on their own somehow but not straight away and now not at all

If you turn the passive immobilser on, & the fobs won't sync you will need to apply the EKA code & deactivate the passive immobiliser again.
Just make sure the EKA code works before you attempt this else you could be locked out.

mmmm will think about that dont like using eka if i can help it, how do i know if the eka works ? is there a way of testing it ? i have had to use it a few years ago and it did work but a few years after maybe a gamble if the door micro switches are worn/sticky
anyway just tried 2 more rf receivers and guess what no good still the same

well i went back out after christmas dinner and connected faultmate and went into becm settings and clicked immoblisation of and on and shut down put key in ignition and it works so all is good
never had to do this before as she allways synced up but i guess these cars are all 14 years or older now so expect the unexpected
