I regret to say that my 1997 2.5D finally expired on Saturday. It is being scrapped.
At my age I will not be taking on another and I will therefore be leaving the forum. Before I do that I would like to thank members for their help and kindness over the years. This forum is a home of pure expertise mingled with entertaining lunacy and generosity which is a credit to you all.
I have accumulated a number of spares & kit over the years : these include a Faultmate Extreme multi vehicle diagnostic. I have kept a file on it over the years and have all the information required for formal transfer to be registered with Blackbox Solutions. From memory with the licences which I purchased the package cost me around £700. ( The receipt is within the file with digital ID etc.)
I also have an injector pump ( in need of a seal) , a tank pump ( probably defective but available for spares, a couple of oil cooler hoses (new) and various lamp reflectors.: I might also have a full abs pump.
Most of the stuff members can have for the price of postage : if there is any kind of central store I would be happy to lodge it there : if there isn't it might be worth thinking about ! However, I would like to recover a reasonable figure for the Faultmate.
Thank you all again and anyone interested in anything can PM me.

I can understand that. Hope the new motor is reliable!

Oddly enough my 3 amigos are a bit slow to go out in the mornings and I was thinking I might need a replacement ABS pump so I would be interested in that.

There's a sales and wants section but no Landyzone parts store I am aware of.

Just because you don’t own a P38 doesn’t mean you have to leave!
You’re still one of us, plenty here not got Landys. Okay most of them I can’t work out why they are here as they’ve never had them??? Not you though ;)

Are the oil cooler pipes auto/manual, what’s the FIP condition? I’d have to pay you this time, youve given me freebies in past (wrapped up in the shape of a gigantic dildo  - the postman doesn’t like me)

Sounds a shame, we tend to save everything here. If one really had a bad desaster they become organ donors.
How much for the faultmate... I have one and I can only recommend it for serious electronic work. A friend of mine might want to borrow the money to buy it.

I have no idea and am open to any sensible offer.
I have also just found that I have a new and unused piece of mechanical kit for charging the EAS

The oil cooler pipes are auto.
The Pump is one I bought from Emmot's of Colne 2nd hand. I didn't get round to having it fitted for longer than their 3month guarantee. When I got it fitted ( not cheap) it turned out that it had the same fault as my existing, namely a minor fuel leak. Emmots didn't want to know me when I went back ( not looking for money, just hoping for a credit) so I got the existing rebuilt.
I paid Emmots around £200 for the pump.

Shame to scrap the car what's wrong with it?
Five years ago I pad £2k for a gearbox rebuild. Gearbox pump has gone again. : radiator has also split along top seam. ALL warning lights illuminated : OBD socket won't talk to my Faultmate : I just wasn't prepared to throw another couple of grand at it and I'm getting too old to take on major stuff myself.
Vehicle would have to be trailered home so I just gave it to the guy who was looking at it for me. He does rangies so anything of any use to him he is welcome.
Thanks for your patient help/advice over the years Data.

I'll check and see if I still have the abs pump and get back to you.

Aye they are expensive if you can't DIY. Good luck for the future with whatever replaces the P38.

Can I have the wee twiddly bits that hold the front mats down pleeze?:)

Are you sure its not fixable?:(
Okay soz - just read the thread properly.I feel for you

The faultmate not talking will be just a little wire off or the 5a fuse under the bonnet gone. Please check it out, you might find out what bothers you

Forum members that have owned/run LR products for years accumulate a wealth of knowledge & it'll be a shame for you to leave altogether. Even old farts like me who have to pay others to do the oily work can sometimes help with advice if (they) have experienced the same problem.
