He's probably crying over a broken wallet.

Sorry guys not been on for a we while, Datatek your bang on the money i'm spilling tears as much as pounds, not got the bill yet its still awaiting the refurb pump return and refit.

Needless to say I am gutted, but onwards for now I fell for a P38 and was suckered by its previous owner. :fighting:

I'm hoping its ready in the next day or two and praying it dont cost more than I've got.

Yip I'm sure it will, the Disco skint me once or twice too, I obv prefer it when its something I can do myself but sometime S*!T happens.

Just gotta hope no more happens before I recover

hi where and when did you buy it , as i was recently bidding on one in stevenson area advertised wi a fuel leak and a broken front prop , green one , im from glasgow , think the seller was running the bid up ,so i stopped and it was re listed within days , bought another one instead , . there are two breaking in scrappy in muirhead ,if ye need anything ,

Hi, I watch that one on ebay too and very nearly bought it, i checked back his feedback and found the seller he bought it from, and the mot details, advisories on 3 of the EAS bags and all of the brake disks, he paid just over 1300 for it pimped it a bit and then wanted shot of it after the prop broke.
No mine was a gumtree ad in Renfrew. thought I was thorough but hey it a second hand car, just hope I get no more surprises any time soon.

Mmm I paid 1900 and the bill is gonna be 1000ish....... maybe I should have stuck with the Disco I had it would only have cost about 500 to put it back on the road.

But hey life is not for regrets, i'll just scrape me chin off the carpet and get on with it, thankfully it is a second car and i'm not stuck at the moment.

he sent the pump on Monday so I would have expected it back by now if it were an exchange unit but he says it will be my own refurbed and sent back up.

Holiday from Monday thats when I really need it :)

I believe I seen it, big black rims and privacy glass?

Well I finally got it back (15 days :-( ) minus my hard earned £1080.00. got some new messages on the cars display too, when I operate any of the windows I get "window not set" is this ok or should I worry also the key fob no longer does the Lazy lock ie, close windows and sunroof.
have Johnstone and Drynan fecked up my becm?
But, with the help of the search facility here I have the interior lights working too.

No don't panic it's just because the battery's been off turn ignition on and unwind each window it turn all the way down then all the way up , in one swoop so to speak the same with the sunroof although I'm not sur about sunroof as I haven't got one but it must be the same as windows enjoy your ride .

Press the window down button and hold for 5 secs when fully down, then immediately press the up button and hold for 5 secs when fully up, you should then get the "Window Set" message. Same for both movements of your sunroof. It's all detailed in your owners handbook. Lazy locking will work when you have done the above.:)

Snap although you get browni points for gramma

£1080 .... Blimey, i put a new pump on mine two years ago, total bill was just under £300 for the pump, a drink to me mate in the workshop for the loan of tools and my time.

I did however sell the duff pump for £250 so was quids in, just lucky i found a cheap pump i guess.

On another note i have one perfect pump in my garage for sale ! and i have a pump that needs the electrikery sorting, cant remember the exact fault it read but was deff electric or sensor or something along them lines.

Rob.

I don't know of any new pumps for that price second hand more like, you were lucky then that you didn't waste your money on a pump that you didn't test first .

I concur, lol. I looked on fleabay 150-300 used, but Lucas would offer no warranty on fitting it so I couldn't take the risk, It is now running well and I shall just remedy all the little niggles as my wife and wallet allow :ballchain: :D

It was brand new with warranty, (now run outi guess)

Like i said, i think it was pure luck at the right time :bounce:

Dont think the guy knew what he had, or was stupidly skint and needed a quick cash fix, the fact i sold the duff one for £250 told me i had got a bargain on the new one !
