Overheating

I have fitted a new waterpump and radiator and now have water spitting out of the water tank. I have taken out the thermostat still the same.

I drove it at 70 for 4 miles with heaters on and hot air coming out of vents and temp went up to normal, when I slowed down to turn around the temp went up and heater went cold any ideas? I will take the head off tomorrow. Can someone tell me what the torque settings are to refit?

great thanks back on the road just got to sort out the cruise control now not sure were the pipe that goes across the back of the engine goes
