Overdrive

So after messing about with my new noise I found it not to be the overdrive which I was happy about.

I did however check it out as I was under there and found that there was only about 1/3 a litre of oil in it which I am guessing isnt enough! does anyone know how much it should take?

I also found the transfer box was overfilled as they had swapped oil a bit and this was about 1/4 f a litre over full.

So even together it isnt a lot of oil lost that way, and external drips are evident!

So as it was Christmas since I filled them do I worry? the car has only done about 300 miles since then, so would I loose more oil the more I drive it or more with it standing?

I have a feeling that even if I change the unit or the seals I may end up not much better off in a few months time as is the way with old landrovers!

Any merrit in trying gearbox stop leak?

Is a 72 RRC with lt95 and overdrive BTW.
