Over fueling with white smoke at 2000 rpm / missfire

Hi help needed my Land rover freelander td4 sport 05 is overfueling at 2000 rpm with white smoke and light miss fire that seems to lessen when warm has anyone had and fixed this problem thanks

The landrover specialist has said its over fueling but carnt say why maybe a wiring problem from the ecu or the ecu but carnt be sure
