my 90 failed mot recently due to o/s outrigger and rear cross member.
no hope of patching up either so I have to replace.

I just completed the rear cross member however i dont feel i got much metal for my money with the ****part rear cross member. i think if i were to do it again i'd have a go at making it myself and get rid of all those stupid nooks that are only good for muck holding.

anyway should i expect same light crap from replacement outrigger or has anyone attempted to make their own? or is it too much hassle with bolt hole and all that??

have basic tools - welder, grinder etc.

thanks, Larry

there's a standard sized I beam that with a little fettling will make a fine x-member - plenty of threads around
