Well,

The newest member of the land rover franternity is here. my new twin
cylinder 18" chassis scraper is here. It appears to have occasional
leakage though, oh, and theres no silencer!

We're going to name it Spencer Maurice Wilks Crowhurst.

Mrs Dave is still recovering.

Dave (happy but tired Dad!)

Yey!! , Big congrats!

You are about to discover two of lifes little mysteries... Tarmac poo
closely followed by Yellow poo.. if nothing else it'll stop you biteing
your nails ;-)

Don't worry.. you should get some sleep between about 3 and 12, I understand
sleepless nights start again from 14 though so make the most of it while you
can.

If Dave gets the right deal he won't be up at 3am, That's feeding he
can't do that. Feeding of our two was *strictly* Sue's domain, she has
the bits I don't. The down side was that I did most of the nappies, small
price to pay for relatively unbroken sleep though. B-)

both ends? yes we have some of those.

and no 'off' button either although you'll find they sometimes go into
silent running mode with no warning - just to scare you I think.

"you should get some sleep between about 3 and 12"........... do you
mean between 3am -and 12am or ages 3-12??!!

only joking about the name. Turned out to be a little girl, which
should at least mean that my tools shouldn't dissapear like MY fathers
did as I got older, my only concern now is another type of "tool"
calling around in the teenage years. As you can see, i'm a little
protective, no-one warned me of the irrestible protective feeling you
have over them. Never picked a baby up before yesterday, now I don't
ever want to let her go, daft innit! I think i'm a bit tired and
emotional!

Many thanks to all for words of encouragement also, i'm just off out to
sabotage the in-laws car so she has t ocome home in the Range Rover,
only the best for my little 'un!

Starts off like that, but then the coven gets together and tells new
mum about expressing milk, so Dad can get up in the small hours to
bond with his child....

Not that I'm bitter.

I wouldn't count on that in these days of equality and all, besides
which do you want her to help (as in hinder....) with your RR or not?

Congrats to you both! Gizza ring when you're accepting visitors and we'll
buzz round and drink your cellar dry. Di has got the minature socket set
and spanners already wrapped.

A girl, eh? Landia? Seriesia? Defendette?

Actually, if you're combining surnames, anything beginning with R would make
a good combo.

Sow the seed that expressing milk is very difficult, can be frustrating
which reduces lactation and not particulary comfortable so on the whole
not really worth the trouble. B-)

I didn't think of that, seeing as my surname begins with "R" I need to
think of a name that either starts in "L" or "R" don't i? You're dead
right.

Just sent you an email which basically said that we'll give you a shout
when we're a bit more lucid! Di doens't knit does she? Angs' aunt has
just brought a cardigan round that nearly fits me!!

Well she seems to like the Rangie anyway, slept all the way home from
the hospital.

She seems to have some very similar traits to the RR aswell, as in
heavy fuel consumption, wallowly ride leaving a stain where she's
parked, luv 'er

Dave

Right, now lets never speak of this "expressing" thing ever
again....................

Louise is a nice ordinary name if you want to give the poor kid a chance.

although it does shorten to "Lou" which sounds like "loo". But kids will
find some naff abbreviation for *any* name.
