Ordering bits by VIN Number

Anyone know how the Vin changes with age???

Just about to order a filter kit and some pads for me disco, not entirely certain if i'm getting the right set...

I assume the two different sets are probably loosely based around the 200/300 swap (although i know some parts are shared)

ie. Brake Pads - front axle set - with non vented discs from KA034314 - Lockheed


If my VIN were to end with VA###### I assume that is after KA######...

Or have i got the wrong end of the stick???

Can we assume the last six numerical digits are sequential too - ie. 123456 would be followed off the production line by 123457??

there is a better one than that that tels you about the wheel base and engines but can not rember where it is
