Sort of thought the idea was to become part of the forum and contribute back to it rather than come on here and ask for help without even having the common courtesy to say hi in the intro section first. Although we all know that once you've got your answer you're going to leave as you've only signed up to try and get some free help rather than pay your mechanic or use google……..

I dont have enough experience of our Discovery yet to help you, but we did have a similar problem on one of our MX5's which turned out to be a broken battery cable connector not making proper contact. Electronics can be very sensitive to this type of thing so its worth checking the basics, unplugging and plugging back in any related connectors and fuses to ensure good contacts.

Someone more knowledgible will be along at some point, most are pretty helpful on here.

Just noticed orignal post deleted, presumably ennwjay wont be back.......

Thanks for your reply. Just decided to delete post as it seemed to annoy someone!

As ever, went out to Disco yesterday afternoon, did exactly the same as before and it burst into life...which means that by the time it reaches Strathearn (who are great by the way if you're close to Perthshire) they'll have no chance of finding out what it was. Still, the ace light, 3 amigos, rear windscreen wiper, oil leaks, rear passenger window and leaking sunroofs should keep them busy...

Cheers anyway...hoping to be of more use soon, and looking forward to posting.
