Its about time i posted some pictures on here of my project. Its a 1995 3.9 ES Auto. First step was to try and de-rust it!
It didn't look to bad when we got it, but the more you poke about the more you find!
First of i removed the rear quarter panels to access the rust better.
After cleaning up, repairing and painting, it now looks like this-
And the other side cleaned, repaired and painted
Needed to replace the boot floor aswell. I could only find the picture below. I know alot of people say the rear floor panel needs welding in. All i done was replaced the metal around the boot floor panel with the repair strips you can get and then riveted the boot floor panel in place(with 80 rivets!). Went through the MOT with no problems.
I have also repaired both front inner wings, front floor wells, A panels and rear wheel arches(the bit you see when you open the door).
We had to replace both head gaskets, replaced all the brake pipes and fitted stainless brake hoses.
So at the moment it looks like this-
So now its time to start modifying it. So far i have bought a front winch bumper, rock sliders, snorkel and light bar.
Still want to buy a lift kit, winch, rear bumper and any other bits i can think of.
I will update this thread as and when i fit stuff.
Thanks
Martin.
