One problem resolved now then next one

Hiya everyone can you help..

I have a range rover p38 4.0 runs fine it gets up to temp then temp gauge creeps up as I go faster then drops down again when i slow down dont seem to be overheating I am suspecting an airlock can anyone make a suggestions please.

Does the temp gauge go up and down with speed everytime?

Sometimes, at first its fine when its warm and i speed up it goes up but then goes down again ?

The guy I brought it of travelled a about 80 mile to me, we met half way so dont see it as overheating problem ! im convinced its an airlock is there a special method to bleed or fill

I had this in a car and it was a split headgasket, hariline crack in it so didn't lose much coolant but if you went fast it'd overheat then drop as you slowed

All sounds z bit doubious to me any water loss? first check fan working water pump working on to thermostat and finally radiator !
