na mate wife has a disability and wants to drive but cannot drive a manual so thought change mine to auto to make life easier for her
wash your mouth out young man :screaming_bug_eye_f:hysterically_laughi
If you do do it, go for the ZF4HP24 and not the 22, you will need the correct bell housing and torque convertor flex plate etc for your particular engine and you use the HP22 ECU, other than that it's a straight fit and much stronger than the HP22.it prob be a lot of work involved but the plus side is im not buying someone else's problem when i know whats been done on my motor and eas i would hate to have to start again fettling all the probs that arise on p38s just wish i could do away with the viscous coupling and put a proper 4 wheel system on![]()
cheers data will do going to save a few penny's and go for it i have worked out of the advice i have received i need loom , ZF4HP24 gearbox, torque convertor flex plate and diagnostics to make it all talk
will i have to change vcu
The HP24 is the stronger box fitted to the 4.6, but it's basically the same as the HP22 and they can be interchanged, might have to change the prop to not sure if the manual and auto are the same size plus the gearbox that you recommended seems to be more for petrol models bit of luck James might pop by and give me the benefit of his knowledge
No idea, there are some things the Hawkeye does not do, Faultmate will do it, so I assume will Nanocom.will a hawkeye diagnostic work to get the becm to talk to the gearbox ecu
