ok i'm lifting my disco 2 by 2 inch for more clearance and 265 75 16 tyres, i have rear bags which i'm getting 2 inch spacers for. i've read that old man emu shock and springs are the only way to go, so what duty front springs and shocks do i need if i'm keeping a stock body with no aftermarket bumpers. i want a ride thats bearable as i do quite a few motorway miles in it. any links or part numbers to what i need would be fantastic as i dont know what a kit includes.

I've just recently done it and after quite a bit of research and phone calls I landed on the following: (i.e. for a 2" lift on a stock Disco with no extra winch etc...)

Front Springs = OME Part number 2776 (comes as a pair marked "A" and "B". Put "A" on the drivers side) I bought mine from Devon 4x4 but most places will do them

I could give you the rear but you're sticking with your air bags.

In terms of shocks, the advice I was given was that the OME shocks are a bit on the hard side....since I was after a softer ride I went with Munroe shocks. Very pleased with lift and shocks combo. Part number for the Munroe shocks I put on the front are D8350. Note that I didn't bother with extended shocks since I won't be doing extreme off roading, so if you're going that way you may want to consider a +2" version of the above shock or similar.

If you want the OME shock then you'll need the Nitrocharger Sport Shock (Front) (Part number 60024)
