As it says in the title i really ought to know better as i have got rid of my reliable Disco 300 tdi commercial and replaced it with a ex waterboard Stage 1 v8, ditched the hard top and converted it to a full tilt that was the easy bit keeping it running and not dying in the middle of the A27 is the hard bit so i have know bought a complete v8 3.9 efi disco which i hope to extract the lump and transplant into the old pig to improve its reliability and give it a few more horses

I Have had a few landies over the years and would love another 80 incher just can't seem to keep away from them Jap crap just don't do it for me.

Hope to pick a few brains when i get enough time to start with the conversion

Hi hotbulb greetings from south devon . 3.9 efi just the thought of the sound of the engine firing up puts tingles up my spine . I had one 6 yrs ago. Instead of breaking down on the A27 you'll keep stoping every time you pass a filling station now 13.5 gallons to the mile , what's that sound I hear ? Ahh yes its the fuel draining rapidly from the tank.:bounce:
