Hello, and a Happy New Year to you all. I have a quick question for you-what is the correct oil specs for the gearbox/IRD/diff,have had a look-but there seems to be many variations. And the best places to buy-genuine Land Rover or the motor factor.---Regards Dave

Singvogel, did they ask any questions or ask for proof etc. Could do with a trade card as have a TD4 and TD5 and need to get a fair bit of 2 stroke aswell. Cheers Andy

There is a form to fill in but it is a load of b*ll**ks - easily blagged.

If you have any receipts for parts from a few different suppliers, they can't argue that you are not a small one-man mechanic business - too small to be VAT registered.

I had only a couple of old receipts from my local LandRover dealer and the one from BMW when I bought the Oil Separator crankcase filter thing, which just 'happened' to be in my pocket. ;)

Plus proof of address, my driver's licence, and I was wearing dirty overalls.

Took less than 5 minutes to get the card in my grubby mitts.

Once you have the card the only snag is you don't know exactly what the discount is until you are at the checkout.

Some of Halford's own brands seem to be about 50% off and other things can vary between 20 - 40%

Good luck. :)
