Hello all,
My 2010 FL2 (facelift) oil Service indication keeps coming back at 2600 mile (exactly) intervals. It's been reset and has been serviced. Does anyone have any idea why it may keep returning at such a short interval?
It's shown up at:

145,450
148,050
150,650

It sounds like it might to programmed for harsh environment running, which is ½ the normal service intervals.
Or maybe it's set to time rather than miles, again on the harsh environment running schedule.

Ah, I wasn't aware that was a thing, but it's interesting to know. Is there a way to change it without some expensive diagnostics?

It's only possible to also the service schedule using JLR SDD, which is LR's diagnostic software for these vehicles.

Out of interest, how is the service indicator being reset?

Pressing the brake and accelerator with ignition on 1 and holding for a minute until the indicator goes off.

It's looking like a trip to a stealership, isn't it?

That's not the correct way to reset the service reminder, I don't know what that little dance sequence does, but it's not the service indicator reset.

To reset the service indicator, do as follows.

Slide the fob into the dock so it's drawn in.
Now press and hold the rectangular button directly below the odometer screen.
Keeping this button it pressed, press the start button, keeping feet off the brake or clutch. The ignition will come on to stage 2 (ignition on, engine off). Keep holding that rectangular button pressed until the word SERVICE stops flashing, at which point release the button, the work dist should come on the screen. When dist is on the screen, press and hole the button again, after a few seconds it'll come up with the new miles till next service. The next option is date, which can be used instead, it's reset in the exact same way.

I've found a video on YT, which shows the process faster than I can explain it.

I'll definitely give that a try. Much appreciated 👍
