Morning all. Just brought a 06 disco 3, I’m going to get the oil pump cover changed just to be on the safe side. Anyone got any rough ideas on a price? (Parts and labour) that be a garage or someone on here?

    hi

for ur interest this is the difference , u can see the extra casting in the first 2 x pics , if they snap it destroys the engine , u should be ok but at least get it checked for peace of mind

may i ask did they do if ur rear belt was also replaced, it controls ur fuel pump so in the worse scenario and snaps it won’t destroy the engine

there are plenty of myths around , of saying bodies need to come off with all sorts of jobs

i would of thought as a rough guide £5-800 , pump cover is £200

here are a few links which u may find useful

buyers guide , know you’ve bought it , lol

look on top of this section and i’ve also added some service guides

    hope that’s useful

Thank you Gary, the only thing that was changed was the cam belt about 79,000.. (now at 81,000) and pump bolts? I can’t quite read the writing on service book. I’ll have a look over the weekend and get some photos and post them on here, might just be worth getting it done for peace of mind.

    Thanks
