I want to fit an oil pressure guage on the 300tdi, anyone recommend a good kit at a resonable price, preferably one that just T pieces into the standard one.

Check out Devon4x4. I've been checking out exactly the same and they offer a VDO press gauge, sender and fitting kit for about 55 squids + vat + delivery. Plain as ditch water, just like the rest of the dash.
