Hi all,

Decided to give the 110 a service today and do air, oil, fuel and change the
anti freeze. Anyway when I took the air filter off there was a dribble of
oil at the top from the breather pipe from the top of the engine. Is this
anything to worry about?

Spec : Defender 110CSW, 1991, 2.5 TDI

Yours

Worried

Andy

As long as it is not excessive you will be OK.

Not necesserily - 200Tdi's do chuck a certain amount of oil into
the air filter. But, it could be the first sign of the head gasket
failing. I'd get someone who knows 200Tdi's to have a look - it's
not really practical to make a judgement without seeing it.
