Oil level check

Bit of a novice at this but hoping someone can answer my question.
I've got a D4 2012 HSE SDV6 and I'm trying to check the oil level
I've run it til it's hot (20 miles) left it off for 10 mins, on level ground and when I get to the check setting it shows a gauge but says Not Available. Serviced 4k miles ago and Oil changed.
Anyone help?

Our L322 2011 says that if its not ready to give it, try again after another few mins. Ours states 15mins.

Also this in the owners manual

"If the message Engine Oil Level Not Available
is displayed, the oil level is stabilising. Switch
off the ignition, wait 10 minutes, then recheck
the oil level display."
