Hi guys , i have a fairly good oil leak coming from the rocker cover gasket joint , its a new gasket well seated , rocker nice and tight down , but oil is still weeping all down the side of the engine above the injectors , is it likely to be a breather problem ??, if so what should i be looking for , cheers Wade

As I can only guess at your engine if it's a 300tdi there's a rubber o ring on the breather that could have perished

If it's a TD5, I had similar problem, found on the gasket there are 2 round rubber blocks to hold the injector wiring loom down, I cut them off as the loom can't move anyway, also smeared a thin layer of silicon sealent round gasket faces just to be 100% sure. All fixed and all ok.

If it is a 300tdi, I did my o ring in the breather about a month ago, bingo cured

Well the rocker cover has been removed and sealed , now no leak from there, still weeping from around the injectors so they are to tackle next , but since doing the rocker cover , now have a new leak from the opposite side of the block all down below the manifold area and quite bad, it seems to me like there is to high an oil pressure and its pushing oil out where it can , is this a possibility and if so what can the causes be, cheers
