Oil leak

Hi guys. This is a bit of a long shot but here is goes. I have an oil leak and I know it is not engine oil as it is a golden coloured oil and it is thinner than engine oil. So I was wondering what is the oil like In the gear box and ird box. I noticed it a few months ago when I took of the so guard so I booked it into the garage to have a look at it. After investigation they asked me if I had done an oil change recently and did I spill any, which I had done so that was that. Now it is starting to drop on to the garage floor so it worse than before so just trying to fine out out one of the boxes uses a thinner oil than engine oil. Marty

check your power steering fluid level isn't dropping, I have just had to replace my rack due to the Freelander leaking on my drive

isn't steering oil red? check oil levels in IRD and gearbox.

Maybe colour is brand specific, I know others use different stuff as it's cheaper that power steering fluid, hydronic clutch fluid? Brake Master cylinder leak?, take the kids of what you can and see if anything matches colour..

Ird oil check where the driveshafts come out

Usually with Landies - you start worrying when the oil stops leaking

No oil OMG

I'll find out where it is coming from now I suppose
