Last couple of days I have noticed oil underneath vehicle- 110 CSW, 200tdi. I have been using oil+++ and needing regular top ups. I suspect the seals in the turbo are gone and oil is spilling through but the underneath was dry until recently. I have a new turbo on its way but the recent incontinence is a concern! The engine is thought to have approx 70k miles on it, was just serviced but suspect had not had too many outings recently prior to my ownership- may have sat for a while.
I have only had a quick look and the oil is coming down from main chassis member where front passenger side bulkhead outrigger attaches, ie quite far back. I have not traced the source but block and sump are dry. Gearbox is also dry but have noticed a slightly noisier gear change- very subtle rattle. All gears fine though, no clunks or looseness. ? related.
Any suggestions from my cryptic clues?
