Hi - I'm a new member so I hope I'm doing this correctly.
I have got an N reg TDi Discovery 2 2.5 diesel.
The garage I used for the MOT renewal advised me that I have a severe oil leak from the Vacuum Pump. He quoted me £270+VAT for a new pump and £90 to fit it.
As anybody else had this problem? Does anybody know if I could purchase just new oil seals and with average DIY mechanical skills do the repair myself, or should I steal well clear and let the garage to the job.
I should mention the garage was NOT a Land Rover main dealer.
