Oil leak from filter.

I have a series 2A with the 2 1/4 LTR petrol engine.
The trouble i am having is there is oil leaking from around the oil filter. It appears to be coming from where it attaches to the block.
I am using castrol multigrade 15-W/40 oil in the engine. So should i replace the gasket or do you think that i am using the wrong grade of oil?

try tightening it, or do an oil change including filter and that way yule get a free seal with yer filter

I think you may want to get a gasket set from Padds /Cradds.
I cant remember but i think it includes the Oil filter assembly to block gasket. You may also want too look at the oil filler pipe that attaches between the oil filter and the fuel pump.

I have retightened it and i replaced the O ring when i changed the filter. The oil seems to be coming from where it attaches to the block.
I am thinking of adding some gasket goo to the gasket and using a thicker oil and seeing how that goes.
