Hello all,
Just done the fuel pump mod to my 200tdi,
When ah took the top cover off the diaphram was covered in oil, and poured out slightly when removed it,

Cleaned it all up, went for 10min drive, took pump apart again and already was covered the diaphram in more oil!?
What's bust on the turbo the oil seals???
I've got not play on the turbo shaft at all. Intercooler pipes are slightly mucky with very light bit of oil in.
Thanks.

Did you clean the pipe or just the diaphragm? If you are getting transfer of oil through a clean pipe in that short time then there must be a leak at the pump end to allow an airflow which will carry the oil mist along. You should only get minimal airflow through a sealed system, only enough to pressurise the air and depress the diaphragm. Check the diaphragm hasn't split and forms a good seal when the pump top is put back on, was there any oil under the diaphragm or just on the top?

No I didn't clean the pipe through, I may do that. It's the boost pipe from the turbo to the fuel pump.
The oil sits ontop of the diaphram rubber jobby so luckyly it doesn't go down into the pump as yet.
I'm just not sure what's making so much oil pass to the pump.
Thinking oil seals I don't know what else it would be?
