Another stupid question? I am still learning about the features and foibles of my p38. In some of the threads in some of the forums, some folks have said that oil gets into the BECM. Is this true? How does this happen? Seems I'll always be a noob on some things.

Regards,
Les

You might be confusing the disco here with P38.
P38 BeCM sits under the driver seat so the only oil here is the grease of the seat rails.

If you did a search on here check your forums. I Believe one of the Discos had problems with oil getting into an ECU connector in the engine bay.

You may get corrosion on the connector plugs on the p38 BeCM from cabin humidity and temperature depending on how much you uses the aircon. Not heard of oil before?

Thanks for clearing that up. I was wondering if someone had confused "oil" with "coolant."
Confusion seems to breed confusion. I get confused enough without any help!!

Thanks Again,
Les
