have posted this before, kind of, am after a spin on filter housing ther bout £40, made by rocky mountain etc, they replace the cartridge type and big bowl on a series 2 petrol, to use standard car spin on filters

but are series 3's fitted with spin on filters to start with ? if so am off down the breakers one day .

secondly , i want a gear stick, whats the difference between a series 2 and series 3 gear stick? or am i as well still using my repaired one !

cheers

No pics, its 1963 but who knows the year of anything else that is attached to it! Unless I am completely wrong of course but I seem to remember it being a normal type spin on filter!

All Series 4 cylinder had tyhe cartridge type filter, but the 110/90s have spin on. I beleieve the housing is a straight swap

Gear sticks fall apart for fun, they break just at the pivot ball, Right as your on a busy intersection or on a roundabout!!. ive repaired mine with a welder and its strong as ever...
How is your gear stick repaired?

agreed, i kno the series all have cartridges, so a spin on from the breakers ( off a 90 /110) will do the job nicely? same fitting to block i presume, my 90 looks the same,

cheers

If you're off to the breakers might be worth looking out for a dead LDV 350 or 400 with the Rover engine. Fittings should be the same and there are plenty of dead ones around.

Just wondering what year LDV 350/400's should I look out for,,, from what year to what year were the rover engines in these vehicles,, looked at quite a few recently but they were fitted with the peugeot engines. eagerly awaiting your reply:)
