pig of a job. . . .check yer oil drain top up plugs first :) :) :)

Yep Lot of work there,..Large O-Ring is the only seal to the gearbox.. and a drive seal at the drivers side.

You have to remove Rear Prop,..Rear Drive from IRD,.and and the Drive from drivers side,.Before you even star to undo the IRD

Good luck

cheers for the comments ,someone else said possible the breather tube is blocked causing pressure when the ird heats up , will wait on removing the ird til the leak gets constant.

The seal is between hte IRD and gear box. The output from the IRD to the n/s front passes concentrically through the centre of the gearbox/IRD drive so that it is gearbox oil which is leaking.

which ever seal is leaking the ird has to come out to do it so when i do take it out i'll change them all but its not that bad a leak at the moment ,what cheeses me off is the ird was out last year when the clutch was done ,not by me but by a "specialist". any way willget round to dropping out the ird eventually does any one have any advice about stripping the ird and putting it back together
