Oil change .....How often?

When should you change the oil/filter on a 2.5 dse BMW engine ,

Every 6,000 miles ...10,000 miles ...12,000 miles

Does anyone know

Why not pop out to your local halfrauds and have a read of their haynes manuals. You don't have to buy one

Oil and Filter change only, every 6,000 miles.
At the 6,000 mile service check other levels - gearbox, brake etc...
Normal servicing every 12,000 or 12months

I religiously change the oil & filter (Valvoline 10-40) on my 4.6 ever 6000 and the air filter etc. every 12000. I believe that it keeps the engine cleaner.

At least every 6k,unless you do high mileage then perhaps a little more between changes.

Changing the oil more frequently does no harm-it's leaving it longer that causes trouble, especially with the rocker shafts etc. The V8 tends to run dirty anyway-love a good run to blow the muck out. Only use quality oil. Dont forget the pollen filters also, surprising how dirty they get-I change them every year and blow them out every 6 months.
