Picked my 110 up from Lancaster yesterday and headed back to Ormskirk. Came off at Parbold and was on the back roads when the scraping noise started. The scraping noise went away in Scarisbrick but I got more of a whine in 5th.
This morning on the way to the garage there was clunks and grinds....not a happy gearbox.
The most annoying thing (besides the cost and inconvenience) is that there had been no drips on the floor of leaking oil. A look under showed a wet crossmember but not enough to drip on the floor. Must have leaked while hurtling down the motorway.
More of a whine than a plea for help........
On the bright side I bought this last week so I do have transport....
