Little article on Countryfile about 4x4s offroading, not entirely negative but needless to say treehuggers got their oar in.

I didn't think it was a bad article...
. (About 25mins in) bit light on detail, but then Countryfile tends to be.
It did say about the Welsh plans to make more areas open and managed for 4x4 use.
I'm a big mountain biker, and in the late 90's the first bike parks (managed areas for riding) were opened. This was objected to by both locals and walkers and other groups.
But now they are seen as a great success. With more and more spring up. As they bring lots of visitors and more important money in to areas.
So hopefully the same can be done for 4x4's.
But lets face it in the world we now live on 4x4 have a bad name. And we will have as long as you have the Chelsea tractor brigade going to pick little Timmy up form school.
