off road tyres

a daft question this,

Been offered some tractor style tyres for off road.

I imagine they cannot be used on road even if for just getting to events etc?

You imagine correctly.
They're probably Dumper tyres and only rated at 20mph too.

dumper tyres have so much grip you can easeily pop diffs, they spin up then sudenly grab

Would you really want to drive on the road with dumper tyres on?

if they are rated to only 20 mph, probably not. If it was only to drive the vehicle to off road sites, maybe. The speed rating issue kills the idea for me tho

The speed rating thing doesn't really cover it. Imagine doing say 40mph in the wet and having to do an emergency stop.

true, very true. Think i will stick with the insa turbo special tracks. tho saying that they aint much good on the road either
